Duluth, GA – February 7th, 2008 – Utilities Protection Center, Inc. will be performing scheduled system maintenance this evening, February 7th, beginning at 8:00pm and continuing until 9:00pm. During this time incoming calls to the Call Center will be unavailable. However, all other UPC communication methods will not be affected – including web ticket entry.

The Utilities Protection Center of Georgia and NULCA will host a Vendor Trade Show on Thursday and Friday, July 31 and Aug. 1, 2008. Day 1 primarily provides exposure to the attendees of Underground Focus's "Locate Technology Seminar" and any early bird arrivals. Day 1 is also an opportunity to get individualized help from manufacturers. Day 2 is open to the industry with much emphasis on Locate Rodeo attendees, competitors, judges and volunteers from across the country. Official Utilities Protection Center, Inc. Business Notification PRIS Code Changes: 3F, 3G, 3Z

Duluth, GA – July 31st , 2008 – Please be advised that on August 1st, 2008 PRIS response codes 3F and 3G will no longer be available for use.
Additionally a new PRIS code (3Z) will be added to the list of acceptable PRIS response codes. The new code reads as follows:
3Z - Unmarked: On-going job, locate technician and contractor have established a written agreement on scheduled marking.
This new code is designed to be used by members/locate technicians as a way to respond to locate requests where both the Utility Owner/Operator and the Excavator have agreed in writing to a marking schedule. This code should only be used after a written agreement has been signed by both parties.
On August 1st this new code will be active and ready for use.
